Let’s face it – almost every teenager is anxious about starting High School. There are social pressures and general fear about new social situations:

new teachers

bigger environment
Nervousness about these obvious social pressures is compounded by the feeling that High School is the first real step towards being an adult, worrying about life after high school or worrying about higher education.
Having some level of anxiety is perfectly normal, for people of all ages, and is even helpful in protecting us in the event we are faced with a dangerous situation.
But for those of us for whom anxiety is a part of daily life, it is a real problem, and can at times even be debilitating or incapacitating.
